Creating a new LoopBack project

If you want to work with an existing LoopBack application, skip to Running StrongLoop Arc

To create a new project, use the LoopBack application generator:

Follow the prompts to create the application.

For guidance, follow Create a simple API in Getting started with LoopBack.

Running StrongLoop Arc

In your application root directory, start the StrongLoop Arc with the slc arc command; for example:

StrongLoop Arc will open in your default browser, and you'll see the login page; see Using Arc for details.

StrongLoop Arc uses a different port number each time you run it.

If you need to run Arc on a specific port number, precede command with PORT=<port number>, for example:

$ PORT=4800 slc arc
Arc is running here: http://localhost:4800
